Neptunalia
Neptunalia was a two-day festival commemorating Neptune as the god of waters taking place in Rome during the hot and dry summer period.
After the harvests were collected, the celebration was set in mid-Summer to favour the trade by sea as from an astronomical point of view, the Moon is at its farthest distance from Earth and waves are milder.
